My Story

      Unlikely Friends

As soon as the baby donkey saw the dog approach the herd he knew they were in trouble. The dog had huge strong legs, and a black collar. It’s jaws had a big glob of saliva dribbling from its tongue. The dog started speeding up and the baby donkey started turning around the other way and running but as soon as he got a few meters his foot got caught on a root and down went the donkey. The donkey braced himself for the worst then nothing happened the dog slowly open one eye then the other he is surprised to still be alive, and even more surprised when the dog starts speaking to him in a friendly tone. The donkeys legs started to stop trembling and his voice started to regain confidence. Dog cautiously introduced himself and said his name was sprocket. Donkey also introduced himself he said his name was Donko. We had a long conversation about where they were from. The dog said he was from a place called Saga land. The donkey walked the dog back to the herd to introduce Sprocket to the rest of the donkeys family. Sprocket said he left Saga land because the other wild dog tribe named the Raiders invaded Saga land and Sprocket was forced to leave. The herd soon accepted Sprocket as one of their own. A few years had passed and both sprocket and the baby donkey were both young adults. Sprocket and Donko had become best friends and everyday they went out at early light and explored the surrounding woods and valleys.

My Airport Trip

A few weeks ago I went to the Christchurch (A) Hangar. We talked to someone named Gary Mills who had been working at the hangar for over 30 years.

Solomon Island Oil Spill

Our Model

More than 70 tonnes of oil has been lost at Rennell island. The ship is called the Solomon trader. It is 740 feet long(225 meters). It hit the reef on February 5 2019. There is still 650 tonnes of oil aboard. Experts have found out there's a high chance of it leaking as well. The tanker was trying to load a cargo of bauxite used to make aluminum in the Solomon islands, then cyclone Oma pushed onto the reef. The oil slick is 3 miles long and heading for east Rennell island. The company who owned the tanker tried to use a tugboat to remove the tanker but only made it worse. They also blame hazardous conditions so they can't investigate from underwater. In my opinion I think the company should try help more instead of just doing nothing.
Here are somethings you can do to help
preserve oil.
  • Bike or walk short distances
  • Use public transport

For MILO's I have been doing coding on Scratch. I am making a plat-former game. So far I have made a character that can move and jump with gravity with a few levels.

My next step is to make even more levels and lives.

I am also learning card tricks or cardistry. So far I have learned the werm, which is a complicated card flourish.

My next step is to do the benwade. I also want to learn the sybil cut.

For MILO's I will be starting computational thinking involving Codecombat and scratch. I am Currently level 15 and hoping to become level 17 by the end of the session.
